From the promo running 11/15 - 2/15. Double points (6 pts/$ instead of 3) if you used the MR Visa.

Didn't have that many stays (holidays, etc.) but still --- points is points.

As I was not targeted, I have kept my MR Visa mostly in storage, execept for Marriott stays.

Some promotions work for me and others don't. Life would be boring if we didn't have promotions to tease us with.

I didn't recall it being targetted. And essentially it was just an additional 3 points/$. So if you spent $500 on Marriott, that's another 1500 points.

They've had other promos that were much more lucrative. And points is points.

Don't remember if we were targeted or not but had a 16,000 + point stay during the time and would love to try and negotiate the double points. MR has no record of sign up so now its the B1Visa route.

The promo was strictly on the MR VISA portion. That is, if you spent $1000 at a Marriott and paid for it with your MR VISA, you would normally get 3000 points (3 pts/$). For this promo, you got double, or 6 pts/$ which, in the above example, would be 6000 points.

Last year, they doubled the whole thing if you used any VISA card..
