FlyerTalk Forums - New Marriott HGA Level?

Yesterday I received my new Marriott card in the mail and it appears I was awarded a level that I did not know existed: Lifetime Platinum Elite. I didn't know if this was an Elite level or a Platinum level, although the award pamphlet described the level similar to the Platinum level I was at last year (2004). The enclosed letter described my long-term loyality to the HGA program since its inception, and I suspect it was this criterion on which I was selected. The award was unexpected, so my wife and I considered ourselves fortunate. The last time I was awarded Life Platinum was by our favorite airline, TWA as I was told I was one of their top 50 flyers, and we all know what happened with them.
