Best Marriott in the Caribbean?
 

I'm looking at planning a vacation to the caribbean. At the moment I don't have a particular island in mind, I just wanted to find out which marriott's rate high on your list in the caribbean?

dont know the best
but i know the worst

just returned from 4 days at the renaisance santo domingo
it was the worst marriott, let known renaissance , that i have ever stayed in
will detail my horror story when i get caught up

I've stayed at many Marriotts (and other hotels) and I have to say the Marriott Curacao is fantastic. That would be my choice.

Thumbs up for St. Kitts
 

Please know that this is the only Caribbean Marriott I've stayed at. My positive vote is because:

1. It's a fine Marriott compared to others I've stayed at world-wide. Clean & new, but with what I imagine is typical laid-back Caribbean service. On the beach, romantic views, nice rooms, etc.

2. Because of St. Kitts itself. A very beautiful island nation with 98 or 99% literacy, English speaking, and very little signs of extreme poverty like you often see at other island destinations.

Also, on two visits its been very reasonably priced ($98 night 1st time; $124 per on the second) You may want to save the points.

As aaupgrade suggested - how 'bout we close this and move to http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=350321 - which is the exact same topic, right above on the thread list, and has lots of information already.
