My 3rd stay posted 2 weeks ago and no 5000 points posted yet :(

Make sure you count only the stays after 9/15, when this promo started. At first, I thought I had three stays after last week's, but then noticed I only had two stays after 9/15 so far. Just a thought for you to check.

I had a stay with a 9/14 checkin and a 9/16 checkout, would this one count?

My third AMEX-paid stay should have been September 29. Unfortunately, it was only my second one, because I forgot to use AMEX on September 17-19! Arghhh! So I have to wait until October 8-9.

Right you are. I forgot about this. My 3rd stay would then have been yesterday.

I completed my first 3rd stay as of 9/27 and seems to have posted by 9/30.

I had a stay 9/13-9/15 which I believe did not count. If in fact it did, that means the 5k bonus would have taken 13 days to post in my case, but my feeling is that it did not meet the promotion start criteria.

Call the hotel's accounting office, they might be willing to switch the credit card to AMEX. Hyatt has one that for me.

My credit also posted same time as the stay; that is, about 2-3 days after the last stay.

Because this promo is stay-based (unusual for Marriott), I'm doing my first hotel-hopping, and it's working. I'll finish the second 3-stay bit tonight, and I think I'll have it all by the end of the month. This is a nice one. :)

10/01-10/05

I called today to ask about my 5,000 bonus and was told the 09/14-09/15 stay did not count towards the three stays because it started before the promotion. :(

I said that my 30% bonus points were posted on 09/15 so that indicates I was there the first day of the promotion, but still got shot down. Oh well, what a bummer.

I called in as well, confirmed my 1st stay began before the promotion start date. Check in day is what counts, not checkout.

My 2nd set of 3 stays has now posted. 5k bonus posted same day as the 3rd stay points. They are on the ball with this one.

Finishing up my 3rd round as of tomorrow! 3 down, 2 to go. This promotion is working well for Marriott in my case. I would probably be staying on my HH Diamond status otherwise - but since HH has no recent promotions...

Can I get 10,000 miles this way? Checkin in/out for hotel couple miles away. Thanks for any information. :)

You can get 10,000 points that way. :)

Conversion to miles is something like 10,000 points => 1,000 miles (or maybe it's 2,000 miles, or maybe it's SW credits ... it's all on the MR website).

OTOH, if you're going for one of the stay+airline miles awards, then that 10,000 points is indeed worth 10,000 miles.
