Maui Hotels
We are spending three weeks (using reward certs) in Hawaii and have booked Kauai Marriott & JW Ihilani. Our 3rd week will be in Maui and have a choice of the Marriott Wailea or the new Renaissance Kapalua Bay (points required are the same). Any suggestions would be welcome.

There's quite a bit of information previously posted in FlyerTalk that might give you some answers. If, after reading the materials, you still have questions, we'd be happy to help.
Here's a good thread on the pros and cons of the Wailea and Ka`anapali areas of Maui - Kapalua is about 10 min north of Ka`anapali. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=349979 |
Wailea and Kapalua are both luxury resort areas, but Kapalua is a little more exclusive. Wailea has more activity, restaurants nearby, etc.
What are you looking to do? If you want to relax in splendor, Kapalua might be the thing. If you're looking to shop, dance, and resort-hop, then Wailea is a better call. If you want to play golf, you can't go wrong either way... ;) |
