YYZ Courtyard

Has anyone stayed at the new Courtyard Marriot at toronto airport?
How are the rooms?
Do they come with 2 double bed or 2 queens?
Any reviews of this property would be very helpful! :)

thanks

I have stayed at the Courtyard at YYZ twice in the last couple of years. Not sure what you mean by "new". This is a typical Courtyard. I always request a king bed....don't know about the two bed rooms. Soundproofing is great. If your room faces south, you won't hear any airport noise. The indoor pool is larger than at most other CYs. Parking can be tight if the place is full. Staff is friendly.

Also a Fairfield nearby

There is also a brand-new Fairfield highrise a few blocks away. Unquestionably the nicest Fairfield I've ever stayed in, and very reasonably priced. Marriott is now well represented at the airport with 4 hotels.

I stay at the YYZ CY every month. The staff are excellent. Rooms are good, better than the average CY. Breakfast is less than good. Room service from the restaurant next door is ok.

I thought it was a little odd that both the YYZ airport Marriott & Courtyard and literally next door to each other. I've had a forced layover in YYZ a few times and have chosen the CY as it was a little cheaper than its neighboor. And if all you need it for is a one night stop, it's a good choice. Can't remember too much about the location specifics, so sorry can't help on that front...
