Fall 2017 MegaBonus Terms and Conditions
*A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. [Although the T&Cs don't say it clearly, a stay can be as short as one night.]
• Registration is required.
• Marriott Rewards members who register for this promotion by November 30, 2017 will earn one (1) free night award at a category 1-5 hotel (value of standard free night award ranges from 7,500 points for Category 1 hotels to 25,000 points for Category 5 hotels) after two paid stays* made between September 12, 2017 and January 15, 2018, at participating Marriott® properties.
• If a member completes two qualifying stays during the promotional period, an additional offer may be unlocked and become available in the members account within 2-3 days after the second qualifying stay.
• The member may not receive additional notification except through their online member account and must register for the additional offer within two (2) weeks from the date the additional offer becomes available.
• Maximum one (1) free night award earned with this promotion per member to be redeemed for a future stay at participating Marriott Rewards category 1-5 properties.
• Free night award will expire six (6) months after the date of issuance.
• An earned free night award is good for one (1) single or double occupancy standard room only and includes the cost of the hotel room and applicable room taxes only.
• An earned free night award will be added to the member’s account within 3-5 business days after the second qualifying stay.
• The awarded free night certificate is not transferable and may not be given as a gift.
• Nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for credit and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for credit.
• Stays at ExecuStay and Marriott Executive Apartments are not eligible for credit toward this promotion.
• Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay.
• Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion.

I called last week because I had completed my two required stays and was about to make a reservation for last Saturday. I was assured by the customer service representative that my stay would count for the next promotion. He said that he was making a notation to that effect in my account. As it turned out, I didn't need a hotel stay that night, so the reservation and stay were not made, but I hope that all stays made before the second promotion rolls out will count. If that doesn't happen automatically, I'd pursue it.

My initial Megabonus registration finally showed up on my account yesterday.
Up until then, it hadn't shown up on my account as even an option to sign up for, and attempts to use the promo URL said I was ineligible. Over the weekend, customer support said that there were IT issues and that I was now manually enrolled, but even after that it wasn't showing up on my account page.
Fortunately customer support seems to have taken care of me right, since not only did the promo finally show up already activated, but it included credit for the night I thought I had missed because I couldn't enroll at the start.

I just got off the phone with Marriott Rewards Gold Support.
They told me that I should receive my email on Friday of this week.
I completed the 2nd stay on Wednesday, September 20, but yet to have received the "unlocked" offer.

On my 3rd stay. Got my certificate, but no news about next steps. Hope this 3 stay does not go to waste.

I completed my second stay last weekend and it posted yesterday. My free night has posted. No email yet about what I may or may not have "unlocked", but I went to the promotions page and there's a link that says "MegaBonus® (Achieved)". When I click on the link it gives me this message: "Congratulations - you earned the maximum. Get a free night after two stays* with MegaBonus®—and unlock more. Register from September 6 to November 30, 2017. I'm worried that by saying I've "earned the maximum" they might mean that there are no further offers for me. Or does everyone who completes the two nights get this same message?

"Stay 20 nights and maintain platinum status"
Obviously I will not be accepting that promotion, IF it is the only unlocked promo I get. I will be calling MR Platinum Cust Service in a little while to confirm if it is the only promotion I will get.
If it is, then I will ask for them to change it or I will switch my upcoming 22 nights to Hilton
This is the worst managed promotion I can remember.....
*** OK, I just got off the phone with an MR rep. The 20 night status "Promo" is a separate thing. My 2nd phase Mega Bonus hasn't unlocked yet either....
