Fall 2017 MegaBonus Terms and Conditions
*A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity. [Although the T&Cs don't say it clearly, a stay can be as short as one night.]
• Registration is required.
• Marriott Rewards members who register for this promotion by November 30, 2017 will earn one (1) free night award at a category 1-5 hotel (value of standard free night award ranges from 7,500 points for Category 1 hotels to 25,000 points for Category 5 hotels) after two paid stays* made between September 12, 2017 and January 15, 2018, at participating Marriott® properties.
• If a member completes two qualifying stays during the promotional period, an additional offer may be unlocked and become available in the members account within 2-3 days after the second qualifying stay.
• The member may not receive additional notification except through their online member account and must register for the additional offer within two (2) weeks from the date the additional offer becomes available.
• Maximum one (1) free night award earned with this promotion per member to be redeemed for a future stay at participating Marriott Rewards category 1-5 properties.
• Free night award will expire six (6) months after the date of issuance.
• An earned free night award is good for one (1) single or double occupancy standard room only and includes the cost of the hotel room and applicable room taxes only.
• An earned free night award will be added to the member’s account within 3-5 business days after the second qualifying stay.
• The awarded free night certificate is not transferable and may not be given as a gift.
• Nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for credit and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for credit.
• Stays at ExecuStay and Marriott Executive Apartments are not eligible for credit toward this promotion.
• Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay.
• Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion.

I had stays the 12th and 13th - both posted by the 16th. My account shows the megabonus 2 night promo is completed and my award certificate is ordered. I do not have a new promo showing yet.

For all those who already completed the 1st 2 stays... Well done! I am keen to know what promo will be unlock and how long it takes to unlock the new promos as it will shape my stays accordingly. If the unlocked promos are good, might even book two discretionary stays before my longer stays.

I had my two nights posted and got my free certificate. I called MR because there was no other promotion 'unlocked'. They told me it may take 24 hours after the second stay was posted. So hopefully we will all find something there on Monday or Tuesday.

Well maybe they are working on posting the bonus points for each separate brand from the summer promotions.
Doesn't make any sense. I am sure they are getting bombarded with people calling about those brand points, calls about the certificate, and now about the extra bonus! Sounds like a lot of extra phone calls and emails that could of been avoided. I guess this is what I am used to!
This extra bonus better be good with it all be secretive. Love to see something were they tier the brands and you earn points based on where you stay. Example 2,000 bonus points for Marriott, JW, Renaissance and then 1,000 bonus for everything else below!
The old earn 15,000 points after 10 stays is boring to me. Spruce it up! Something like stay at 10 different Marriott Brands and earn 25,000 points.
I think it will be interesting to see what the promotions will be like when SPG and Marriott bring their rewards into one together site.

Every MegaBnous cycle for the past zillion years, some people have had trouble registering, we don't know why, and other people have failed to have the promotion show up in their online account, we don't know why. Calling Marriott Rewards was a solution that worked for fixing this long before Twitter/etc even existed! Now it may not be the only solution, but since calling is "live and interactive" (they tell you whether they can do it while you're on the phone, instead of wait to see if and when you'll get a reply) it still has its advantages over non-interactive online communication methods. Plus it doesn't require signing up for anything you haven't signed up for already (not everyone who's online is on Twitter).

Two stays for a reward night is nice, but by not knowing what the unlockable promotions are, it doesn't encourage me to plan extra stays. Not to mention that days after last 2nd stay and the new offer doesn't show up yet. IMHO big fail by Marriott.
