Fluctuation and booking for Paris properties
 

We've got a trip booked for Paris over Thanksgiving (late November for non-Americans), and we're inclined to book a Marriott property. I'm Marriott Plat. How much fluctuation can we expect between now and then, and any ideas on a good time to book? There are significant savings in pre-payment, but it feels like a good ways out to be that locked in on rates. Any advice would be welcome.

IME traveling in the off-season rates have behaved about the same as they do domestically. The prime locations are always going to be pricy, but the ones more at the edge of the metro area still have had good prices for me.

I would prepay early if it got me into (for example) the Champs Elysées location at a good price. I wouldn't do it to stay at the end of the metro line.

I'm looking at Parc Trocadero or Opera House, most likely. Does that hold true? Book now at Opera House for about $245?

I've not stayed there before, but Opera House for $245 seems like a really good deal to me.

Just stayed at the Marriott Opera for 160 ... a good deal. Book refundable now and keep checking. Also look for LNF.
