Change Megabonus between now and May 30th?
 

Hi all - my current Marriott megabonus is to stay at Protea hotels between now and May 30th; I have no plans to go to Africa. I've heard you can switch Megabonuses by calling in. Anyone have any experience with this? Are there any other decent offers out there?

This is not your Megabonus.

If this is the only promo you see you are a victim of the common "no automatic megabonus" glitch and you need to call in.

Because there are only 3 Megabonus offers. They are viewable in the wiki in this thread.

That's not a "megabonus". Yes, it's a Marriott bonus, but not every Marriott bonus is called "megabonus", and this one isn't.

So there's nothing to switch to. It's simply a Protea promotion, nothing more.

For those who do have a megabonus, the Protea promotion is also showing on their promotion page, separately.

If your promotion page is showing no other bonus other than Protea, and has been that way since mid-February, you're presumably the victim of the random "no megabonus showing online" problem. However, if you didn't check your Promotion page in the last few months, it could be that you had a megabonus showing but it has now disappeared (since the registration date may have passed). Every variation of megabonus is ending on May 15 (for the first one or two steps), not May 30.
