Starwood, Marriott Poised to Complete Cuba Deals

Wondering if I should save my Starwood and Marriott points for Havana.

WASHINGTON—Three major U.S. corporations are preparing to complete deals to do business in Cuba as an approving President Barack Obama gets ready for a historic presidential trip to the island later this month.

That's a WSJ article, where without a subscription you can only read the first paragraph.

Here, as an alternate, is a different news organizations article on the same subject, which requires no subscription to read:

Not surprising. Arne talked about it last year. I think there's even a thread on it.

Cheers.

Was an eyeroll really necessary? I posted information that apparently you were interested in. A thanks would be more in order.

What are you talking about? I'm confused. Marriott (re: of SPG) intends to move forward in Cuba (ie, the subject of this thread).

Did you post in the wrong thread by mistake? There's already a thread in this forum on the other bid for SPG.

Cheers.
