Multiple Marriott Accounts
I have accumulated over time several Marriott accounts. Is there any program rule that prohibits multiple accounts? I didn't see any reference to multiple accounts in the Terms and Conditions, but I have heard of people with multiple accounts having them "frozen" (whatever that means). I use them as a way of tracking travel for different clients, etc.

yes; totally against T&Cs which can result in total forfiture and closure/ban from MR.

Technically it's against the rules. The bigger question is why would you want to have multiple accounts for yourself? There's no reason to do so. Call Marriott and have them merge them into one account and stick with that moving forward.
I just reread your original post. If you're tracking clients accounts/ have access to them and they're in their name then there's no issue. It's their accounts. If, however, the accounts are in your name for the various clients then that's a bigger issue. Cheers |
since you allege that you can't find the T&Cs regarding multiple accounts -
Duplicate Accounts 2.If more than one Rewards Program Membership Number is assigned to an individual, he/she will only receive Points or Miles for one Membership Account. Duplicate Membership Accounts will be canceled. https://www.marriott.com/rewards/ter...t.mi#duplicate

Do your clients require you to use the points earned on travel that they reimburse to reduce later travel expenses on behalf of the same client? Otherwise, I can't see how multiple accounts would be helpful.
Moreover, it's mcuh easier to earn status when all nights post to the same account. |
