Rate is about 300$/night. Summary of charges when booking 3 nights is 3x300$+tax = 900$+tax.

So do I understand this correctly and 300$ will be deducted at check-out?

Yes. After you stay the full three nights, you will only be charged for 2.

At some hotels, the daily rate would be reduced by one-third. If the hotel actually posts the third night at a $0 rate, it could be problematic for nights credit.

REgardless of how they do it, they will not put it in now, because they don't want you to be able to reduce the length of the reservation and still get the discount.

Haven't often done the stay 3/get 1 free but when I did I received credit for all 3 nights.

Cheers.

Just mentioned because I had the problem twice on 2-for-1 deals. Not recently, though.

Have they corrected their rate rules?

I had a similar package at a Renaissance in Germany, same 3 for 2. So if the rate was like OPs, I'd expect to pay $600 at check-out. Nope, I paid $900 at check-out because the hotel claimed that the total rate was already discounted.

We complained to MR regarding the wording and we got 1 night refunded.

Good to know/monitor when taking advantage of the B3/G1 free deals.

Cheers.
