On August 19, registration opens for the Marriott Rewards MegaBonus promotion. This is your chance to rev up your earnings. Here are the details:

Marriott Rewards members will receive an exclusive offer for stays made between September 15, 2015 through January 15, 2016. Qualifying stays can be made at over 4,000 participating properties around the world.

On August 19 you will be able to visit your Promotion Central page to receive your unique offer. All offers will be available by 5:00pm EST on the 19th. Qualifying stays can be paid using any method or credit card of your choice.

Registration ends on November 15, 2015

I guess the MegaBonus is back after a summer hiatus?

Thank you for sharing! It seems like we haven't had a promo in quite some time. It was strange doing summer travel without having a promo.

Finally an incentive to book back at Marriott. Over the summer I almost exklusively booked with SPG for their current promos, so depending on my offer I will be back with Marriott from Mid-September...

All of my summer stays at major chain hotels went to Hilton and IHG, both of which had summer promotions. I'm glad to hear that Marriott is ready to usher in another promotional period, but I hope it's of the stay certificate earning variety.

Bummer it doesn't start until Sept 15... I have a week stay just before it :(

Great, I'm ready to get back to Marriott. However, it has been nice working on my IHG balance. Just a few more stays and I'll get the 156,000 bonus points (yes 156K) coming by way of the IHG summer share promo. Now THAT's a promo.

I too left Marriott( I had 12 weeks-4 nights each) booked from June through August!) to go to SPG for the summer as did a slew of guys I work with on same project so I hope Marriott pays attention to these losses of revenue. I wrote a letter letting them know they should track all the cancellations they may have seen all summer but not sure if they care? Maybe the loss of road warrior reservations is not an impact due to all the summer traffic they get(at probably better rates?). Regardless, not sure if the new promo will woo me back as currently generating around 4200 SPG points a week with their promo and normal points which is guessing ~equivalent to 8400 Marriott points so pretty happy so far. If SPG does not do a promo, then most likely will switch back or alternate? Will see tomorrow...

Be careful. We haven't seen the offers yet.......

I"m glad MR is coming out with a fall promotion. I'll certainly consider it. But I'm less gung-ho about MR now than I was before they decided they didn't need to compete with HH and IHG's promotions this summer. I've since earned a lot of points with those chains, which I'm now looking to redeem-- in lieu of some paid MR stays. I've also earned IHG Spire status, which with its 100% points earning bonus is tempting to stick with for the remainder of this year and next. This is the point I've been making in other discussions about the impact of not offering a summer promotion: it's harder to get back a regular customer than not to lose him.

That's why my post had the "depending on my offer" disclaimer...:-)! But then again I do not think there will be much variation over the previous Megabonus promotion-rounds...
