CSP to Marriott transfer

How long does it take for Chase SP points to show up in my Marriott's account?
The points immediately deducted from CSP, but after several hours have still not shown up in the Marriott account.

Also, if I buy a few points to through points.com, do those points show up immediately?

Thanks.

According to this thread, it will probably take two days.

Just FYI in case you weren't aware, you don't need to have the points in your account to book a points reservation...

Does anyone know if Marriott points transferred from CSP count towards the lifetime total? I did a ton of searching and had a hard time finding an answer, and finally found a thread (don't remember if it was here or on Marriott Insiders) where someone posed the question but received no replies.

Lifetime Marriott status is linked only to the number of paid nights in Marriott family of brands properties.
'
Total number of points earned has nothing to do with earning lifetime status.

Don't think that's correct.
LT is a combo of both nights and points earned, not only nights.

Points transferred in from Chase as well as Chase Marriott CC points count towards LT status.

This is not correct. You need a combination of elite nights and points to earn lifetime status at all tiers:

STATUS QUALIFIED NIGHTS POINTS EARNED
Lifetime Silver Elite 250 nights 1.2 million points
Lifetime Gold Elite 500 nights 1.6 million points
Lifetime Platinum Elite 750 nights 2 million points

Correct. And just for clarification, the points can come from virtually any source (i.e. hotel stays, bonuses, credit cards, etc.) and nights can come from virtually anything that offers night credits (i.e. hotel stays, credit cards, conference rooms, etc.)
