Multi-night rate for just a single night

When booking through marriott.com I discovered that the property I would like to reserve charges a significantly lower nightly rate for a multi-night reservation compared to a single night (guessing that's relatively common).

Is it possible to get the multi-night rate for just a single night? If so, what's the trick?

Thanks
B

No. This is common at extended stay properties. The rate rules state that if you check out early, a different rate will apply.

Yes, it is possible but you will have to negotiate it directly with the property. Some properties will honor the lower rate for a single night as an accommodation for Platinums. YMMV.

If the grocery store has a "Buy 3, Get 1 Free" offer, would you ask them to honor the prorated discount if you only buy 1 item?
