Silver here, had the 1-4 in my account.
I'm not even going to try for it...I got my 2 certs for the just-ended one, plus my Marriott Visa cert, and I'm using those for stays during this promotion's time period. I'm lucky (lucky? :rolleyes:) that I use low level ones, I don't live in an expensive part of the country, and we often drive to a further airport to save money, so these lower level ones DO come in handy. I think what would work for me would be to go for it every other time...earn them, use them, THEN earn more. |
My husband and I are both silver, and we both received the category 1-4 offer. We each had the category 1-5 offer last time, but he didn't have any stays.

I am new to Marriott as I just signed up with the tie in with United. My account shows the stay 2 get 1 free cat 1-4 cert. My question is do all paid stays count.
Example: one Fairfield I am considering booking a couple of different times has the following offer Marriott Rewards Member Exclusive Offer, 2000 Bonus Points per night the rate is the same as standard rate. I assume you just get an extra 2000 points. So it seems this would be a good deal if it also counts toward the stay 2 get 1 free cat 1-4 cert,'\ Thanks in advance for the help |

It's frustrating that last time I had 4 ~$100/nt stays and I qualified for the 2 free nights, this time I've got a 4 night stay at $250/nt during the timeframe (so $1,000) and it won't count for even one night.

but you posted earlier above today that you intended to pass on the next Megabonus so why is it now frustrating??

Who would not want a free night? I was passing because I couldn't make it work without deliberately staying another night to earn a low cost night, and that didn't make economic sense to me. I found it frustrating because I had an expensive stay already booked, and darn I wish it were 2 separate stays at different places because then it would work and I could get the certificate. But since it wasn't, I wasn't going to bother. But it still would have been nice. |

Still showed nothing. Called in to MR Gold number, they said I defaulted to the 1-4 promo, asked to be put on the 1-5 promo, confirmed but will require manual sweep at the end.
Seeing nothing on my account online still, have to take their word for it |
