Question for all you Marriott experts: What are some of the most highly recommended Category 4's and Category 5's? !

Winter/Spring 2014 Megabonus
I've already maxed out my Spring bonus and have earned 40K points. Any chance they'd upgrade it to the 50K points level if I call? I'm just a lowly Gold this year.

Yes, moving up is usually approved.

Anyone successfully move from the "35K paid points after 20 nights plus an additional 15K paid points after 25 nights up to 50K points" to "35K paid points after 20 nights plus additional 2,000 after each additional paid night up to 55,000 points"?
Have been told twice that the latter is targetted only. |

Have been told twice that the latter is targetted only. Has anyone been successful being given the Delta 25k SkyMiles offer after completing the 25 nights for 50k MR points? I will hit my 25 nights tomorrow and could easily complete the DL offer if I switched my earnings and was able to get Marriott and/or DL to be qualified. |
I have completed the 25 stay/50k bonus promo.
Has anyone tried to then sign up for the Southwest Megapoint promo? Will they do two promos in one calendar segment? |

Has anyone tried to then sign up for the Southwest Megapoint promo? Will they do two promos in one calendar segment? Some other people succeeded. Dunno what the difference is, but obviously YMMV. In any case, if you're going to try, you have to do it in the next few days, because registration for all these promos ends March 31 (even though the promos themselves end April 30). |
Now that I completed my 25 nights for 50k bonus, I am looking to the next Megabonus.
Does anyone have any idea what it will be or when it will be for? I need to get some Hilton and SPG stays in before the next bonus period. |

Thanks for the link, Vicki -- I had actually did a search earlier this week and found the thread.
Now, I wonder whether Marriott will follow last year's earlier launch in mid-May, or revert back to a June 1, beginning? Also, anyone know approximate dates of when the next Megabonuses were announced publicly? |
Based on my edit dates, around April 20. I would bet tgey got with May 15th as that makes all 3 gaps 15 days long.

My friend completed a 24 night single stay but did not register for the mega bonus promotion. He probably only had free night with stay promotion
Can he call now and enroll in stay 20 nights and get xxxx points today as the registration already ended? |

Can he call now and enroll in stay 20 nights and get xxxx points today as the registration already ended? But what's the harm in trying? No one can really guess what will happen if he tries, and I don't see what harm could come from trying. What's the worst they could say? Isn't it simply "no"? It might depend on whether he actually was registred for another version of the promo or not. Ie, it's possible for example that registering outright is no longer possible right now, but that changing the promo type might be. So unless you can first out whether he was actually (auto)registered for some other version of MegaBonus, the simplest thing would be for him to simply try to call and find out. |
