How many points per stay?

Hey all. First post so forgive my ignorance...

I often stay at the Residence in and earn about 3500 points a week for my four night stay (this includes my platinum arrival bonus and 50% elite bonus). I recently ended up spending four nights at a Courtyard Inn and received twice as many points (2x arrival bonus, 2x base points and thus 2x elite bonus).

I am trying to find a source that will tell me how many points I should expect to receive when I stay at various Marriott locations. I do not spend a lot of time in my room when I am on the road for business so if I can earn more points by staying at targeted hotels then it is something I would like to consider.

I looked through the forums and found many other great ways to accumulate points. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

5 points at RIs and TownePlace Suites, less, I believe at ExecuStay properties, and 10 points at everything else.

Well that s*cks. I'm at an RI right now for a family emergency, and it cost a lot more than the Springhill Suites across the road (but we do like spreading out in the suite), and we didn't want to be on the other side of that horrible, horrible road (Bell Road in Peoria, AZ).

Is this listed anywhere on the Marriott website (I've looked for it, too, in vain) so I can be better informed for future reference?

Thanks, missed the Blue "this"...how do you know if it's a "participating" property? That would REALLY s*ck if we got nothing!

Almost all properties let you earn points. I only know of a handful that don't.

I don't have any examples to point you to, but I have seen a statement on the property page and the booking pages that the property does not participate in the MR program. Point is, READ, don't assume.

These are the hotels that don't participate.

# of pts earned by hotel brand, whether a Ritz-Carlton is included/excluded in the program and answers to most other questions about Marriott Rewards may be found in the Marriott Reward Terms and Conditions.

FWIW, all Ritz-Carlton hotels other than the Singapore and Montreal Ritz-Carlton hotels participate in MR and RCR. Note that Carlton and hotels are underlined and in bold because RC Residences, Reserves, Destination clubs, partner hotels (Bulgari, Abaco) and Ritz hotels (London and Paris) do not participate.

But check the T&C link above for all of the nitty gritty details.
