How to disconnect from Courtyard Internet?

I'm currently at a Courtyard and accidently connected to the normal internet instead of the 'plus' one. However now it doesn't let me access the login site anymore, it just automatically connects me to the regular 'slow' one. How can I get back to the initial page where I can pick the faster internet?

Call the front desk & ask them? Probably get a faster response than posting on FT on a Saturday night. Good luck.

Cheers.

Use your smart phone to try to connect.

You will get to the login page. Then use that URL and type it into your computer browser. You should get a login page.

Courtyards have been offering 2-tiers and often charging elites for the higher tier, as the lower tier fulfills the free internet to Golds/Plats. A few threads re: it.

Cheers.

First, delete all cookies. Next, go into whatever software manages your WiFi connection and delete the Courtyard's Internet connection. Reopen your browser and it will connect from scratch, giving you the option of selecting a different connection.

I'm on my Mac right now. To do it on this computer, I would select the WiFi icon on the top right of the screen, choose "Open Network Preferences" and "Advanced." Locate the Courtyard on the list - it will likely be last if you haven't connected to the CY Internet before - and click your delete key. Close the open windows and start your browser.

My PC has software which manages my Internet connections, which can be accessed in the right side of the tray at the bottom of the screen. It's a similar process, where you find the list of networks and delete the CY from the list.

Hope that helps. Sorry I cannot be more specific without looking at the PC.

That did the trick, thanks!

trekwars2000, while this Courtyard has 2-tier internet they don't have a single elevator.

Btw, I did ask the front desk, they told me to come to the lobby and try to reconnect, but that didn't work.

Just after I typed that (and flew to Denver), I checked into the JW Denver. I see there are 2 internet speeds, 1 mps for free and 3 mps charged. I picked the 3 mps (for 3 days) and I guess I just figured it'd be free like every other internet package I've had at a Marriott. Its not like either are all that fast...

For reference there was only one speed when I was last here at the beginning of June.
