Ritz Tie-In with Marriott?
 

I seen several references here to the Ritz Carlton chain being tied in somehow with Marriott but not for the purposes of the Rewards program.

I just wanted to get this clarified. My wife and I will be at a Ritz for several days next month and I would like to know if there is anyway to get some points for it.

Ritz does apparently count somehow (albeit not for points accumulation), because when I put in my Rewards number when making a reservation (regardless of what kind of property it is), there's always a reference to "Ritz Carlton repeat guest" or something to that effect that appears.

Same here. Also, I was upgraded to a suite at the Ritz in Philly because I was a Marriott awards member.
