Just received, double points on Rewards Visa charges, 3/15/04...6/30/04, over $XXX.XX amount, my spend over target is $150.

I got the same thing yesterday - same target (over $150/mo.).

2 MR points < 1 SPG point

Kind of a worthless promotion if you ask me. (Not that I don't love the MR points I earn at the hotels. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif)

Same promo, but my husband has to spend over $550 each month before he gets dthe ouble points to start. I am assuming that the month they are referring to is from the 15th to the 14th of the following month. Is that correct?

Was the promo from Visa or Marriott?

I got it too. It is from BankOne Visa but says on the letter it is for Marriott Rewards points. And I got the $150 per month spend requirement.

Was this an e-mail promo or a snail mail promo? Interestingly, I got a similar promo with no minimum spend amount from BankOne Visa for Priority Club points (I have both a PC VISA and a Marriott VISA) but not for Marriott. I'm wondering if they just aren't to my part of the alphabet (I'm an "O") yet? I'd certainly prefer the Marriott points.

I got something slightly different. Now through June 15th, I get double points on certain charges - gas, restuarant, supermarkets etc.

I got the same as jamflyer, the offer has no spending requirement and goes from 3/15 - 6/15. It's similar in scope to the DL AMEX double miles perk.
