I have stayed there several times and have always been upgraded to at least a Jr. suite. My last trip down I had a large corner suite on the C floor

I believe the only rooms on the C Floor are true suites so most of the time I have just had access to the lounge. The lounge is quite nice with excellent munchies at night and a better than average breakfast. Great fruit BTW. It is on the top floor with a deck that overlooks the business district of San Juan.

Do a quick search and you will find more on the property, including info on the managers reception that is held each week. They really roll out the food and drinks during the reception and the staff will all introduce themselves to you so if you any request while there, you will know who to contact. When the reception is over head down to the casino where the drinks are free if you willing to risk a little cash.

The is a great gelato shop out the front door, to the left about half a block and across the street. It is the best I've had outside of Italy. It is my treat every night that I'm there.

While the property is older, they treat their elites very well from my experience and would rate it as one of the better Marriott properties in this area.
