No matter how much evidence is presented they still can not understand (seen that one here) Any more that you can think of fireworksboy? </font> I'm with you Mikem, while I believe you have listed a good portion of the reasons MR Plats stay MR Plats, I really believe MR Plats just don't know any better. They spend too much time (75 nights) trying to achieve and attain Plat status that they truly aren't paying attention to the lack of attention they are receiving. ALL they are concerned with is making Plat. By that time they are married/invested in the program. Nine out of ten people who have been Plat in both programs know that there is no comparison in treatment and benefits, at this time anyway. SPG blows MR away. (This from someone who was MR Plat for three years and in 04 - well just call me Hi Ho Silver) SPG Plat for as long as they treat me right and so far they've been treating me like a king. I believe one other reason could be that people equate the number of hotel options (smaller towns=FI CY) and number of members with having a "better" elite program and nothing could be farther from the truth. How big and how many members are in a program has absolutely nothing to do with the benefits of an elite program. Most MR's will never know that though because to stay overnight outside of the (MR) family is sacrilege. Unfortunately, they are praying to a false idol.
