Reward Night

Hi - apologies for question, and if answered elsewhere, please point in the right direction - however have received the following "2012 Fall Promo Free Ngt cat 1-4" into my account for staying 2 nights.

However, i'm not clear about how I look to redeem this? any thoughts welcome.

Chris

Sign into your account, book an award stay on marriott.com at a cat 1-4 property, and it will ask you if you want to use your cert during the reservation process.

How about for an existing points reservation? For example, I have a points reservation in Tallahassee for an FSU football weekend. Since that time, I have earned a Reward Night Certificate. I would like to exchange one of the points nights to use the certificate. Normally I would cancel the reservation and re-book. But since the hotel is sold out, I don't want to lose the room I already have reserved. Is this something that the average telephone reservations agent can handle or should I play it safe and save the certificate for another time?
