Check Cashing?
Staying at my Favorite Marriott (but with a different night staff then normal).
Went to cash a check and they said they no longer cash checks. I thought this was one of those privileges we get for being MR members. I am only Gold, but the ability to cash a check is one of the benefits I actually used. I believe this is not a Marriott owned hotel, but can they opt out of cashing checks. Nothing in T&C indicates they can opt out (unless local law does not allow). Before I raise a stink, want to check to see if I am mistaken: Socrates, anyone? |

Not to disagree with Socrates, but I think the full response is "unless you are in a foreign country where the currency regulations are differeent" (or something like that). I had this issue once in Paris and they showed me the exception in the rules.
