Three years as Marriott Plat, and was comped to SW Plat earlier this year based on this & my HH Diamond status. YTD now I have 46 stays @ Starwood, 28 at Hilton and 3 nights at Marriott.

Who cares what's promised in writing? I don't worry myself about fighting at the desk for benefits. I can only tell you what real experiences have been, and it's not even close. Starwood blows the doors off. Hilton is also a good step above Marriott (not to mention that double dipping gets me 1-1.5 free r/t Southwest tickets a year). Marriott is a distant third in my mind, and I haven't missed them a bit.

75 NIGHTS a year for this? No thank you. Trust me everyone (and so many others here who are saying the same thing), there are SO MANY better choices out there. Let Marriott learn their lessons the hard way. They've made thier (largely inferior) bed, let them sleep in it.
