A bonus buck is treated like cash. You should earn points and nights when you use one. However, you cannot combine a bonus buck with an EEO, since you are not paying for both nights with an EEO.
this is my experience as well; hence why I try to use these early in the promo period just to see right off the bat as to what type of credit I've rec'd.. or i'll use them after I requalify so then it just doesn't matter
