Question Re Email Survey from Marriott - Do we get MR points for its' completion?
I just received a second reminder concerning Marriott's solicitation of my comments for an e-mail survey that the sent to me.
I hate to fill out these long laborious forms, especially if there is no incentive for me to do so. You would think that if they valued my opinions that much, they would state that I would be rewarded for my time, but of course, they have not done that -- in fact that is pretty similar to their lack of a follow through on their soliciting our comments re a Lurker and then let us just twist in the wind. Don't get me wrong, I know of many Marriott employees who would love to jump at the opportunity to be an official lurker -- such as our valued and dear friend Socrates -- and I can tell you that their are others, as well. However, until Marriott stops taking our loyalty for granted, I think I will refrain from filling out that form for now -- unless one of you advise me that there is some pot of Gold at the end of that rainbow -- or at least some bonus points!! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Seriously, though, if one is going to inquire about a Lurker or my opinions, then there should be, at the very least, some appreciation for supplying them some feedback .. be it in the form of bonus points for completing their survey -- as other frequency programs provide -- or the common courtesy to follow through with your solicitation of whether one would like an official Lurker by desingating one and allowing them to finally answer some of our questions!!! Yeeesh! |

Being a MR Silver, had received a few of these surveys in the past and felt much the same way as the poster. If MR offered even a small 'thank you' like 500 MR points I would answer it every time. But without that incentive, other than to bring poor service or surroundings to someone's attention, I often don't bother.
I know from a company point of view, that small incentive times millions of guests adds up very quickly. But the bottom line I keep coming back to is my time is worth something. |
