Reserving Suites via Marriot.com
With all the suite upgrade discussion here lately, I thought about actually reserving a suite. I chose several hotels that listed 50+ suites on the hotel information pages. Then I tried to book multiple dates as far as next January. In only one case were suites listed as an available room type.
Do I need to enter a special code to see suites as a room type? Are suites not generally reservable via the web site? Just curious. Thanks, Greg |
When trying to view all the different room types, I've had better luck with Expedia, which usually provides a very broad listing of rates. I, too, am surprised how hard it is sometimes to use hotel websites to book something other than a standard room.

Sometimes the suites do show on Marriott.com. Recently, I reluctantly gave a suite booking at the Mayflower in DC. I had a great rate for the 4th of July weekend for a 1bdr suite.
