Short on stay
I am currently a Platinum member but I've not being staying frequently at Marriott this year. As a result I am 2 nights short on requalifying for Gold. I am wondering how flexible will they be in giving me Gold status with only 48 nights instead of the required 50. Has anyone managed to do this before? Pls advise. Thanks.

At one time, if you were a Platinum and didn't requalify, they would drop you only to Gold even if you didn't have the requisite 50 nights. I wonder if that's still the case?
(Not for my sake - I've already requalified for Platinum.) |
I too am in a similar situation.
I am currently plat, and I will be 4 nights shy this year of the 50 nights for gold. The really frustrating thing is that I would have 50 nights if it weren't for the Courtyard Great Barrier Reef property being dropped as a Marriot family hotel way after I made my reservation, and just a couple weeks before my stay. |

I'm going to try and see what happens... Best of luck. |
