La Guardia Marriott

Does anyone know this property? I am planning to stay there for a stopover and can't find any informnation if they offer a shuttle to LGA?
What would be the best way to get into Manhatten from there?

Thx for your help.

I will stay there next Sunday (to Monday) after the US Open (tennis) mens final.

They have a shuttle bus to LGA (but I also walked that distance two years ago) easily.

To go to downtown Manhattan, you have all options of LGA.

I stay there a few times a year. My only complaint is that it's very tough to get a taxi directly from the hotel.

I was forced to stay there two years ago, when the bad weather was grounding everybody. It is a well worn Marriott with a lousey restaurant. Enough so, I vowed never to fly thru LGA again. And I thought it was a convenienet connection to NYC. It might be, but too many delays and storms.
Plus you are stuck out in nowhere.

I was there last weekend. The room was typical Marriott, but it had the poofy beds. They have a restaurant which I didn't eat at and room service is open pretty late. Shuttle service to the airport leaves the hotel every fifteen minutes. There are phones near ground transportation where you can call the hotel and they'll come pick you up.

Taxi is probably your best bet into Manhatten. It is easier to get a cab at the airport than at the hotel. Alternatively, you might want to check with the hotel to see if any shuttles are available if you want to save a couple of bucks.

OK Hotel with good shuttle service. I agree with using a cab for excursions into Manhattan--right down the street from Shea if you want to see a Mets game/

Wow! A lot more information than I expected.
Seems to be a quite acceptable location for a stopover (considering that I can use up my W14's there).

Thanks to all of you.
