Comments on any of the Marriott properties in Madison, WI?
I assume the UW home football games explain the rather high prices at the downtown Hilton and Sheraton in the fall. |
There's a Fairfield Madison West and Residence Inn up the block from the Fairfield...both are good properties....right by the Interstate

There is a full service Marriott in Middleton, WI., which is about 15 mins. west of the UW campus and about 20 mins. southwest of the airport.
I stay there 3-4 times a year. The concierge lounge is nice. All in all, a typical Marriott. Don't know for sure, but would assume that it's tough to book a room on Badger football weekends. |
Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I'll select one based on location since all properties appear to be fine.

The Middleton Marriott has a nice lounge but the hotel itself is just a standard Marriott. Fairfield Inn has somewhat of a better location, but if you are even a slightly SPG fan, then go for the Sheraton (not a very nice property though). The location is great.

Not trying to bring up an old thread but, the Hilton in Downtown Madison is the best hotel in town. It is where anyone looking for great location and hotel stay. Check out the Hilton thread for more info.

Timo The FI West is newly remodeled. The Marriott is an average Marriott. AVOID the Sheraton in Madison at all costs. The Courtyard on the east side of town is a new property and is convenient to the airport. --Rich |
