In 01 I was Platium but I did not make it for 2002. What is the Gold min level for 02? Will they keep me at Plat for 02 due to all of the things that happened? I only have 38 nights and will try to get as many as I can before March.

Good news.

Marriott extended the qualification for 2001 (thru 2002) status for 90 days. So you have until 3/31/02 to get there.

The levels are still Gold - 50 and Plat - 75 nights.

Also - do not forget if you register (at the marriottrewards url) and use your Visa - you get double nights toward requalification and double points.

Yes, they are offering double points, double nights for all stays (Visa payment required) after a first qualifing stay.

This runs from 10/15/01 to 3/31/02. Note that the double nights count towards status.

Also, stays from 1/1/02 to 3/31/02 counts toward status for BOTH 2002 and 2003. A double, double dip!!

On the 2X nights credit for 2001 and 2002...

If I had 175 nights in 2001 and of course I'm starting at zero in 02, my question is lets say I have 50 nights in the first three months of 02 and all were paid for with Visa, does that mean I will have 275 nights total for 2001 and 100 nights for 2002?

the reason for this question is that I'm curious to what will be credited toward my lifetime nights total. Will it be the 175 nights for 01 or 275 nights?
