Enrollment Codes?

I haven't signed up for Marriot Rewards but am looking to do so, does anyone have any enrollment codes or promos for bonus points when you sign up?

Perhaps if you ever fly NW:

You can add valuable WorldPerks miles to your account when you join Marriott Rewards® and stay at any of more than 2,000 Marriott® hotels around the world. As a Marriott Rewards member, you will earn 3 WorldPerks miles for each $1 USD* you spend at any Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites; Renaissance Hotels®; Marriott® Conference Centers and Marriott Vacation Clubsm International resorts. You’ll also earn 1 WorldPerks mile per $1 USD spent at all Courtyard® by Marriott,® Fairfield Inn® by Marriott,® Residence Inn® by Marriott,®SpringHill Suites®by Marriott® and TownePlace Suites® by Marriott®. You choose the hotel that best suits your travel purpose, and enjoy the best in business, leisure, luxury, moderately priced or extended-stay hospitality.

To enroll in Marriott Rewards, call 1-800-249-0800 and mention enrollment code NWMA, or visit www.marriottrewards.com and enter NWMA in the enrollment code field. Make sure to complete the stay preferences form, and give your WorldPerks account number for your designated airline.

doc-

I love your many very helpful posts. I think your post here is one of the rare ones that is misleading.

Doing as your post suggests doesn't earn any "bonus points" for signing up, which is what superdawg was asking about. In fact, following the NW trail means he would get NW miles instead of Marriott Rewards points.

Signing up for miles instead of points is a dubious choice, at best, unless the traveler (1) has a need to accrue additional miles to qualify for a particular airline award or (2) doesn't expect enough stays at Marriott properties to earn significant Marriott Rewards points.

Miles are generally worth about two cents each. Marriott Rewards points are generally worth a little over one cent each, if used effectively. Although there are some differences for the lesser branded Marriott hotels, one generally gets 10 points (10 cents plus of value) or 3 miles (about 6 cents of value) for each dollar spent at Marriotts. You choose!
