Just more confusion from MR... They do have e-Certs issued for various reasons and they say points will be converted to e-Certs for a point stay. At least they got rid of the requirement to get a cert in the mail and then deliver it to the property for your stay.
OP, if you can clarify the source of the e-Cert and you might get a better answer.
