MR Platinum Visa
Tried a search, but no answers to my specific questions for this card, an application for which came in the mail today.
The promo I received says 3 points for every $1 spent at Marriott properties, and an additional 2 points for every $1 spent at full service Marriotts, thus yielding 5 points for every $1 spent.
Question: that's over and above my regular points (and plt. bonus), right? Does that make it an effective yield of 4/6 points for every $1?
Sounds too good to be true to me.
I also noticed in my search that there were some problems with the bonus points posting last year. Is this still true?

Read it and draw your own conclusions.

Thanks, UpgradeMe. I searched under "Rewards Platinum Visa" in the subject line. Figured that just about covered it; guess it didn't!
Sorry for the clutter (and yes, I've drawn my own conclusion!)

I agree the wording was deceptive and when I applied I was told they were going to change the language to be more clear. I think the card is a good value if you stay at Marriott hotels. The no annual fee for one year makes this card worth it if you pay it off each month
