Marriott's Customer Service

I'm a writer with a national magazine working on a story about customer service among various industries, one of which is the hotel industry. For the story, I wanted to speak with Marriott frequent guests (along with those of other hotel chains) to get the inside scoop on what you like about the hotel's customer service. Frequent guests know the hotel, its services, and its amenities as well as hotel management themselves, so who better to go to for thoughts on customer service?

There's two things I'd love to have the opportunity to talk to you about. One area relates to customer service, but isn't what we think of as direct customer service (relating to the front desk, reservations reps, and concierge). It's regarding the customer-friendly services and amenities that Marriott offers that make it easier to travel comfortably--be it new inroom or front desk technology they're employing or special perks to the frequent guest program that make your stay more enjoyable. But of all the services they're offering, what's really making the difference out there in your travel experience?

Second, I wanted the opportunity to talk to you about any experiences you've had with Marriott where customer service has really gone above and beyond what you expected--whether it's helping you locate an important item you need that you left at home or leaving some small welcoming gift in your room. Do you have any stories of Marriott's front line personnel going above and beyond when it comes to levels of service?
