Chattanooga Marriott Downtown, TN [Master Thread]

Has anyone stayed at this downtown location and have any comments about the property? I will be spending two nights there and just wondered.

A few things you should know about my hometown:

1. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE A TAXI. It is not possible to predict what your fare will be. If you aren't renting a car, there is a shuttle service to downtown hotels now, I think it's $10 each way.

2. There is a free shuttle around the downtown area. Take it toward the Aquarium and eat at Sticky Fingers.

Any recent experiences?

Has anyone had any more recent experiences with this property? I saw a couple bad reviews on Tripadvisor but I trust the opnion of everyone here more.

TIA

Bad stay this weekend.

Numerous maintenance issues with room.

No upgrade.

Lounge closed, no breakfast offered.

No late checkout.

Would not stay here again.

Great stay

I had a great stay at this hotel, the hotel have two suites the presidential and governors but none of them available during my stay but very pleased with the service. Above and beyond from the hotel management. I booked a S4B rate and was told that they give full breakfast vouchers to Platinums.

I received a gift from the hotel for our wedding anniversary a nice full sparkling wine bottle and a tray of chocolate strawberries.

Very close to the main attractions with an adjacent stop for the free shuttle

I will definitely stay here again

Glad you had a good stay!

Could you clarify something? You booked a S4B rate, so you would get brekkie. Are you saying you were told Plats would get brekkie coupons on the weekend if the lounge was closed & they weren't on a S4B rate?

Let me know & I'll adjust the stickey.

Cheers.

This is correct, however my S4B rate came lower than the regular rate thanks to LNF. On the other hand I was told by the FD that I would have gotten brekkie coupons anyway due to the fact being platinum since the lounge was closed for the weekend.

It seems that they extend the coupons on weekend just to platinum

This hotel has yet to reopen its club lounge post-Covid. At this point isn’t that a brand standard fail?

absent a lounge, there are far better options than this place….
