You are just being silly now... At their main page it clearly says resort 5 times (to include the 'explore our resort' link right at the top of the page)...
Now if your grip is similar to mine where every resort should be clearly stated in the name then we are on the same page, but I don't think that after clicking into the page there is any doubt they are double-crossing us about the resort business... FWIW - as someone who has stayed at the property (although not recently) there's nothing at all resort about it, other than it's close to Seaworld. We are in agreement that a resort should have resort in the name & people shouldn't have to guess. Cheers. |
Is there any point to Elite status at the Renaissance Seaworld? I will be Gold by the time I check in next week, but will I receive ANY benefits? I am already renting a suite as I'm bringing my family, but as I understand it, no breakfast and no lounge as it is a resort.

I agree 100% with you that hotels should give notice that they are "resorts" by listing it in their name so people will not have to guess, however, for consistency of not having to guess, and to dissent from one of your previous posts, I also think that each prop should tell the guest IN ADVANCE what portions of their prop are not self-owned (outsourced) so a problem of obtaining points for parking (ala post by Nacho) or for using the spa, etc. are not found out until after payment.
