When officially next level ?
 

Hi,

when are you officially on the next level i.e. like me from silver to gold ?

If
your statement tells you you're gold member.
It shows that for me !

or
if you have the gold membership card ?
I haven't got my gold membership card yet.

I'm staying next week 5 days in a Marriott and I would like to get the benefits of a gold member.

What's my official status ? Will the hotel accept my gold status when I check in and I don't have the card but a print-out of my statement ???

If your online status shows gold, you're gold. When I reached silver, I had to call them and they said it would be reflected in a couple of days and that I would get my card in a couple of weeks (turned out to be a couple of months!) but that it will show in the desk clerk's system if you have your number.

quick note here: the internet site will show immediately (in marriott time) as well...

I was told the same thing about Platinum status... I've been a Plat. now for about a month, and I have yet receive my GOLD card... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif However, the hotel desk has your status if they have your number, so rest assured... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
