I like the Marquis because it is such a landmark on Times Square..and it is so big... the Renassiance is also nice and quieter than the marquis and is located within a block or 2 .. the World Trade Center is FAR if you are for Pleasure.... Stay in Midtown .. enjoy!!

REN is the clear winner here, IMHO. Small, friendly, well appointed, relatively quiet, great TS location and views. Try Foleys Fish house before the theater if you like crab cakes and perhaps try to imagine what the Millenium celebration was like a few weeks ago as you look out at what is NY!

WTC-Very quiet nites and weekends in this downtown location.

Marquis- I'd go here for a drink upstairs but it'd be my 3rd choice, largely for the reason LAX1k mentioned- too large and impersonal.
