In the cover story (about the future of miles & programs), there was a stat that I find amazing.
According to Lynne Roach, VP of Loyalty Marketing for Marriott, they are adding over 200,000 new Marriott Rewards members per month.
Granted they have properties worldwide, and they have aggressive plans for expansion in the next 5 years, but that's a lot of new members each month.
I'd be curious to know the number of members in each of the major hotel programs...
