if both are using your MR acct you'll get points for both (but stay credits for only 1)

I no longer put two rooms on the same reservation. Instead I make two separate reservations.

I recently went to cancel one room online for a two room reservation, and it wouldn't allow me to keep the same rate for the one remaining room. I had to get customer service to call the property manager who was happy to approve it, but it was a pain.

nabco - you got lucky. technically, the rule is that if the name on the method of payment doesn't match the name on the room, no points will be awarded. One way around that is to pay cash of course, but otherwise, in most instances, kcaluwae is correct.

... and if MR should have reason to review your account, you may loose those points. So posting errors made by MR on a public forum might not be wise. :)

Not needed... A simple search for two postings on the same day would probably yield a few dozen prospects and you may very well be one of them. Reminding them they have messed up just might prod them to do the research. MR IT may not be the brightest of the bunch, but they do have the tools.

With 2100+ posts, chances are RogerD48 does have some idea of what he is talking about.

Before you get too sarcastic, think about a situation where you need assistance from the Marriott Conciearge on this site. To get it, you are going to have to give them your name and MR number.

Do I think they would bother to search out and correct this kind of error? No. Do I believe that at some time they will know you are? Yes.

Yeah that would be a brilliant move to give a total stranger on a public forum my name and MR#.

I have 490,000 MR points in my account with close to 2500 total nights stayed...obviously 2000 posts makes you an expert frequent traveler...my mistake
