Sounds like Marriott did the right thing. They're refunding the guests room+tax for the night.

Sounds like some of the guests didn't do the right thing, if there were riots & damage resulting in the police being called.

A friend of mine was there. He said it was quite remarkable. People that had no urgency to go to their room suddenly were completely consumed with misery once they knew about the problem. He said it was truly depressing how upset and unruly a lot of people got.
