restricted purchasing to having an IP address inside the US regardless of where you actually live or where your credit card is registered from

If you value Marriott Rewards Points at more than a cent each (not everyone does - I do, as I redeem them almost exclusively for Travel Packages), this 20% discount isn't much better than the 10 MRPs/$ + 4% cashback option. It seems you also get ebay bucks, which is another 2% normally, but 4% if you've spent over $50 since the 2% bonus ebay bucks promo started.
