Historical MegaBonus maximum offers

Replaced with wiki

LAXgt Dec 10, 2011 2:56 pm

This is great. Also, I think along these offers, the other version is always 1 free night cat 1-4 after 2 stays with max of 2 free nights. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are not wrong in that many of the past Megabonus promos may have had that as one of the options, but it wouldn't have been the only one.

Most of the Megabonuses had a series of different options including free nights as you mention and lower bonus point options for those who don't normally stay in the 20-30 night range within the promo period.

I figured it would clutter the thread up too much to put all the offers, and you can spot the trends pretty easily just from the maximum offers.

WOW--talk about generosity!! They must have fired the originator of this "out-of-the-box" innovation--it's never been repeated.....

+1 - Be nice if they repeated this one!

Any idea why they start from Feb 1 instead of Jan 1?

LAXgt Dec 12, 2011 1:34 pm

The current offer ends 01/15 and there is usually a two week break between promos.

travelexpert Dec 12, 2011 9:15 pm

ALL of these offers pale by comparison to Hilton's free nights.

And Hilton's promos in general pale by comparison with some of it's smaller competitors such as Hyatt and Starwood.

Which is why I have not stayed more than a few nights in Marriotts for the past nine years.

Thank goodness for lifetime MR Gold. With about 45 nights to go for lifetime Platinum--maybe I'll get there in three years from the 15 elite nights I get each year from my Marriott Visa card.

Wake up Bill. Time to shake up your Marriott Rewards staff and have them smell the (competitive) roses....

February 1 through April 30, 2009- No credit card required- maximum offer was 50K points for 25 nights

June 1 and August 31, 2009- No credit card required - maximum offer was 25K points for 20 nights

September 15, 2009 through January 15, 2010 – Visa required, maximum offer was 50K points after 25 nights

February 1 through April 30, 2010- No credit card required- maximum offer was 60K points for 30 nights

June 1 and August 31, 2010- No credit card required - maximum offer was 40K points for 25 nights

September 15, 2010 through January 15, 2011 – Visa required, maximum offer was 50K points after 25 nights

February 1 through April 30, 2011- No credit card required- maximum offer was 50K points for 25 nights

June 1 and August 31, 2011- No credit card required - maximum offer was 40K points for 25 nights

September 15, 2011 through January 15, 2012 – Visa required, maximum offer was 50K points after 25 nights

February 1 through April 30, 2012- No credit card required- maximum offer is 50K points for 25 nights

Do I need to call customer care to register for these 25 nights offer to be applied to my account ? I don't see them in promotion central. I only see 2 stays free night offer

LAXgt Dec 16, 2011 7:37 am

The promo that is in your promotion central is targeted for you. You will need to call and change and MR reps will change it manually after the promo period is over.

Updated with Jun1- Aug31 2012 offer

alrvd83 May 16, 2012 7:46 pm

Once again I am sounding like a hardcore newbie, but

June 1 and August 31, 2012- No credit card required - maximum offer is 40K points for 25 nights

I take that to mean you get 40k pts when you stay 25 nts within that time frame...what does the no credit card required mean/have to do with it?

Also, how can I sign up?

When i log into my acct and go to promotions, this is all i see.

To earn your free nights:
Register by June 30, 2012
Stay twice at any participating hotel between June 1 and August 31, 2012
Earn one free night after every second paid stay, up to three free nights

Enjoy your free nights at any of 2,900+ category 1-4 hotels.

This summer, imagine more. You’ve earned it.
