Cheap Marriott Hotels
If anyone comes across a deal for a really cheap Marriott ($70 or less), please post the deal here. This way, if someone is a stay or two shy of receiving the MegaBonus, they can rent a night to get the points.
Thank you. |
dc has some properties that are $55 a/i and I plan on sleeping at those properties just for the megabonus... other than that I have seen properties in Egypt depending on the dates fall to under $25 a/i...

DFW Area: just type in Addison, TX and any Friday or Saturday night.
Should be about 5 Courtyards under $50. Sometimes you'll see a AAA rate hit $40. Look at the Package rates too: sometimes you'll see a $60-70 rate that includes a $20-25 Visa card (or similar). Of the group, the Plano one is the most pleasant, a little farther north on the Tollway than the rest of them. The LBJ Josey one is the sketchiest - it's next to an apartment complex that seems to attract the Dallas Police at least once per night when I'm there. The other 3 or 4 are simply nestled in with office parks in the area...quiet and mostly empty anytime you're seeing the $50 rate. Also...if you actually *stay* at your mattress-run hotels, there are two Renaissances in the area (one in Richardson and one near Love Field) that can be had in the $80 range. I'm doing a 2-night Ren run this weekend to finish Megabonus and get the 5,000 point Renaissance bonus. $80 and $87 are my two rates. The Marriott Suites by Love Field occasionally drops into the $70's and is a hotel I like a lot. Great staff, breakfast chits for elites, and (obviously) big rooms for everyone. All of these rates have normal cancel rules - none are prepaid.

Thank you. But not a bad idea for the just shy of Megabonus nights. Cheers. |
Watch for some of the fall posts that are weekend type; buy 2 nights & the third night is free, so you pay for 2 nights & 3 nights do post, but you do have to stay the third night.

I will often do a Mattress run at the University Marriott in Salt Lake City. There usual rate is $89 but I most often can find a LNF rate which brings it down to $59 and then I use an EEO BOGO which then brings my rate down to $29.50 each night. They always upgrade me to a suite and they offer breakfast vouchers since the concierge lounge is closed on weekends.

For Europe, the Courtyard Frankfurt Nordwestzentrum sometimes has rates as low as 57 Euro on the weekend if you need a stay on this side of the pond. Also the Renaissance Dusseldorf has a 60€ Entertainment Rate all-year on the weekends if you look for a Full-Service property that treats Elites exceptionally well...they insist on seeing your card however, so better bring that with you.
Greetings - Dirk |

I've never been in a situation where I needed the nights to post in order to hit a status or Megabonus, so I've never argued. I don't know what official Marriott training protocol says the clerks should be doing. I would imagine that the intent is that the "free" night is not an EQN. |
The Courtyard Atlanta Alpharetta has a Saturday night rate at $54 (just off Windward).
The rate where you get an extra 1000 Marriott points for the same room is... $54. I only needed one night...so check on Friday and Sunday nights when you're booking. |
Warsaw Marriott hotel is also good, I've stayed there for less than AU$80, which included a smashing breakfast! :D

Greetings - Dirk CY Bremen can get down to below 60 EUR with LNF. I like the property very much - it's new and the staffs are friendly. The only down side is no free internet. |
Sorry for the bump - any low priced hotels in Asia for Marriott?
