Marriott Rewards Easy Earning promotion
 

Saw this promo when I went into my account to try registering for the Springhill promotion:

Marriott Rewards members who register for this promotion by September 30, 2011 will earn 5,000 bonus points with every second paid stay, starting with their second stay - up to a total of 50,000 bonus points, between August 15, 2011 and November 15, 2011, at participating Marriott properties.

Registered for both, and I don't see a reason I can't double dip. Didn't get an e-mail for either of them, so check Promotion Central. I'm guessing it's another targeted promotion. Seems to be the way Marriott is going lately.

I do not have either, as I wasn't sent an e-mail or any kind of notification. I just happened to see it in Promotion Central on the website. It appears targeted, so if you don't have it listed on your account, you will probably have to call customer service, who may or may not be willing to help you.

In for the SHS promo, can't access the one you refer to.... :mad:

Where do you see this promo? when I go into my account the only thing I see available is the current Summer bonus? Another Plat that cant get a promo?:confused:

Just got a snailmail notification for this promo. Says I can register at marriottrewards.com/justforme. I think the link says it all. Are systemwide MR promos being phased out?

I'm kind of new to Marriott - quick question about promotions and "double dipping"

So I have a stay coming up on Monday (8/22) that will be my 4th stay and get me my 2nd (and last) free cat4 night for the "Marriott Rewards Bonus" which ends 8/31.

The new promo starts 8/15 - will the 8/22 night count towards both promotions? Or will they only apply it to one?

Just wondering how this has worked for others in the past...thanks

Thanks, that is good to know. I'm surprised (pleasantly) that they overlap promos like that.

As I said I have recently switched over from Hyatt (Diamond for 8 of past 10 years) to Marriott (almost Plat this year). Not by choice - more by availability of hotels in the places I travel (int'l). The biggest gripe I have with Marriott is that when they give a free night - they limit it to Cat 4. Every free night I ever earned with Hyatt was good anywhere - and I got some nice rooms out of those (Park Hyatts, Int'l GHs, etc).
