Pensecola SpringHill Suites

Has anyone ever stayed at the Pensecola Beach SpringHill Suites? I searched the forum, but couldn't find a single Pensecola reference.

Search is definitely your friend, but it can be a finicky friend as it doesn't understand misspellings.

There are a couple of threads that have some posts about the SHS in Pensacola:

And there are other threads that talk about the Pensacola area.

Stayed there a few times. Right on the beach. Nice area with a few things in walking distance. Do you have specific questions?

Typical SHS rooms? The beach is nice? Any bad views from the hotel?

We have stayed there twice for family beach trips. Some rooms have better beach views than others... the price for each will usually reflect that.

We like this place a lot. Area feels safe.

It does not have that brand spankin new feel, but it was fine. Good location for the beach. I was there midweek and got upgraded to some huge room with a bedroom with king bed, a hallway bed in an alcove, a big bathroom, a living room overlooking the beach with a sliding door and a fold out couch.

It is not your typical new Spring hill layout...

The Duke of Bombay, at a (pedestrian) SHS!!!! Very surprising after reading his recent rants about the indignity of possibly having to sit in Y on a DL flight.

I actually kinda like the newer SHS's... do not stay at em too often, but they are not bad in a pinch. I would never dream of eating that stuff they put out in the AM that I think is for eating, but other than that, they are not bad. Unless you go all the way to Point Clear, there is no "Full Service" spot in Pcola.

But what a grand hotel it is. ;) While not on the beach, it is great resort in its own right and a pretty good use of points as a Cat. 5.
